The expanded PU midsole provides long-term shock absorption and rebound, helping reduce foot fatigue.
Sole: Vibram
The multifunctional Vibram sole provides nimbleness and stability on rugged terrain.
Upper: Velour
The leather is ground on the reverse and has a short hair on the surface. It is popularly known as suede. Velour is less prone to superficial damage than nubuck.
A special type of leather with a velour-like appearance is called split leather. It is made of a lower layer of leather, usually treated by sanding. Compared to top-grain leathers, it is cheaper but less strong and durable.
Membrane: Spo-Tex
A functional membrane that allows the feet in the shoe to “breathe” while keeping them dry. Spo-Tex guarantees the highest comfort and hygiene. The PE-free membrane is designed in a similar way to Sympatex. It is placed between the lining and the outer material. The membrane is resistant to moisture entering the footwear. The waterproof value of the membrane itself is 10,000 mm of water column (Schmerber). The breathability of the membrane is determined by the water vapour permeability value of at least 2,700 g/m2/24 h.
